Is it possible to have LNM on a PC that doesn’t have MSFS installed? MSFS is running on a PC in my living room, but I have another PC in my office on which I would like to use for “training” . Can I export the MSFS database (airways, airports, etc.) that LNM needs, onto a USB stick from my MSFS PC, and then import it into LNM on the non MSFS PC?
Yes you can. It is clearly explained in the LNM manual.
You don’t need to do anything like that. LNM installs with LittleNavconnect (LNC). All you need to do is install LNM on the office computer and run it. LNC makes MSFS data available over your network. When you run LNM on the office computer it will attempt to connect with the living room MSFS computer which must run LNC when MSFS is running. I use Addon Linker on the MSFS computer to launch MSFS and to run all the extra executables I use with MSFS like LNC, FSLTL, AiFlow, and AiGround.
The non-MSFS computer I use to run LNM is in the same room as the MSFS laptop, but it does not matter where you have the non-MSFS computer as long as it can connect to the MSFS computer over your network.
As GaseousBeatle92 said, using LNC is explained in the LNM manual.
