Live weather but not live time - Is there sun?

,

If I set my weather to live and it’s night where the live weather is taking place, but then change the time to day time, does the sim take into account the sun that’s in the sky? I know Asobo have said that the sun influences all sorts of things such as updrafts and downdrafts, so I’m wondering if there’s no sun in the live weather data but there is a sun in live time is there a sun or not?

All else being equal, the sun being up should make the temperature of an area go up. But the live weather we get in game is usually the same temperature as it is in real life, and when it’s night that temperature is not affected by the sun. So I know in that respect live weather not live time treats the sun as if it doesn’t exist. But I wonder if it doesn’t exist in all respects and we’re just getting night weather except we can see.

Correct me if i’m wrong here but the sun in the sim generate heat/energy on the ground not the ambient air temp that comes from data sources like METAR or Meteoblue to make the sim temp more accurate to real world conditions. The heat/energy on the ground that creates updrafts are affected by the time you set, not the ambient air temp.
