tries to fly around colarado yesterday was like being in a hurricane in 20k winds the autopilot could not keep locked the wind was so violent and it showed a steady 20K so ye still broke
Did a flight in Idaho today with live weather. Seemed about right during departure but when I was coming back about 90 minutes later the clouds moved in and I had snow and maybe 1/4 mi vis at the airport. Checked the actual METAR and it was basically unchanged from my departure (10 SM, BKN 045). Reloaded the sim to the same airport with live weather and it was back to what I expected.
I’m still getting the 225/03 bug. It’s not all the time but a good 50% of my flights have it which is making it difficult to fly on Vatsim
Was there snow on ground, or snowing in the air? I’ve actually started to notice snow (not on ground).
In the air
Same here…game is still in beta. Theres so much problems.
I’ve only seen this happen once in the last few weeks. On the other hand, wind is still not always as reported by meteoblue.
Someone else in another topic posted this possible solution:
Start the flight with clear weather. Once in the game, switch to live weather. It could take a couple of seconds (maybe up to a minute), but the live weather should appear then.
Since the latest patch 1.8.3.0., I have a very consistent issue, perfectly reproducible.
If I start a new flight in a cloudy place (according to the world map) using live weather, everything is fine and I have live weather. However, after exiting this first flight and going back to the main menu, live weather will not work anymore no matter what.
Even if I set again the same place, which is showing a cloudy condition, the live weather will look clear skies, standard pressure, no winds, etc. If I change weather to a preset (in flight) they work fine, but going back again to live weather still not showing real weather at all.
The only way to solve this is by exiting the game and entering again. Then, chosing the same place with cloudy conditions will have correct conditions once in flight.
I’m surprised asobo said consistency was solved because I have NEVER had this issue since the alpha days and, however, I have it now that the live weather is supposed to be working better than ever. How is this possible?
Quite game breaking issue for me.
same problem here
Please check the setting in the weather presets. To me there seems to be a problem with the default setting. If the live weather is set here, the well-known “clear sky” problem occurs on the second flight. If you instead choose “clear sky” as the standard setting and the live setting separately for each flight, the live weather works for each new flight. For me at least this worked.
Nope, thats not my issue, even selecting live weather it won’t work most of the time. Even once in flight, if I chose “live weather” I get clear skies and standard conditions.
I thought this had been fixed in the recent patch. It had been fine for a while since that update. Now it’s back to having to restart after every flight to keep getting live weather.
In my case it was the opposite, it had never failed to me since the release version, not a single time, now, after patch 2, I have constantly this problem.

This problem I have from release of sim…
I have also had this problem since day 1, they say they fixed it in the last patch - they didn’t.
Can confirm the issue - but the tip above seems to fix it (n=2 flights so ymmv). Setting it to preset clear skies on loading in, and then changing to live weather loads it in correctly
Same issue
I just noticed it’s not even saying the correct local time on my PC… it’s 30 minutes off.
Can Confirm that Setting to Clear Skies on World Map Then loading in game press ready to fly then open weather panel and select Live Weather from the Drop Down and then Hit the Live Button and it will load live weather. Otherwise it’s clear skies for days after the first flight.
I can confirm this is happening to me exactly how you state it as well.
