I am still hesitant to buy MSFS 2024 because it feels not quite ready yet. This is the most important bug to be solved prior to my purchase. I won’t touch the sim until I am able to use live weather and time independently.

Even worse due to the live weather requirement of online networks you can’t even fly vfr online without live weather and have to fly night vfr if you want to fly in the evenings with atc coverage

Hmmm. While I’m very in favor in us players have more control of all the things in the game (I still remember how we begged to have option to turn of snow on ground in live weather for 2020 version) I actually can’t seem to be able to change weather with time. Every time I change time weather stays the same. Am I missing something?
Voted for this also. Flying exclusively online makes this a must.

This needs to be enabled asap… this was such a critical core feature in 2020 that I don’t understand why they removed this feature in 2024… I fly exclusively on Vatsim and I am not enjoying flying only at night due to the live weather requirement… back to 2020 I go

I agree with all that there needs to be a toggle to decouple time and weather. At the same time, for those of us that fly offline only, but also want to use flight planning tools, we need to push those tool providers to match in having 24hr historical weather also.
I posted this over in the navigraph wishlist.
There I make the point that flying offline in a different region either breaks the sim weather, or breaks flight planning even in 2020. Last week (or two weeks ago) I wanted to fly around Germany and Poland in the daytime as part of APLv2 schedule, but the live weather was really unrealistic for daytime hours, but perfect for 2AM, which kinda took the fun out of it.
Do we have any news on that? I find it odd that everyone is silent about it.

It almost looks like the sim supports this as is. But the interface is sooo bad.
So many different “Live” things. I’m posting this as I realized there is a difference, so i tested it.
When in “Live” Weather and Time, there is a 24hr slider. When the Live switch is on, you are on Live Time, and when its off, you are in the 24hr historical wx.
But, if you choose Preset (or Custom) Wx & Time, the slider changes. You can Choose “Live” Preset, but now the time slider is a plain slider without the hour marks.
I had thought that it’s in this mode, that the 24hr weather would NOT be available. Only Live weather and whatever time you like. But of course it is broken.

Please God fix this. I am so tired of flying at night. This game is ment to be seen in the daytime! Give me live weather but an adjustable time. Simple fix I would think.

The work around with setting in sime date forward by one day is also not working. Still getting the historical weather then. So annyoing.
