Can you explain a bit more for us who can’t read METAR other than to look for altimeter, temperature, and wind?
right now it is clear skies and sunny…in sim I have low clouds and lightning and thunder…basically complete opposite of what it is actually like outside
As a PSA, if you’re on the Official MS Flight Simulator Discord server, you can always run METAR reports in the bot commands channel and get very readable weather reports including flight rules in effect.
If people are still having problems with live weather i would just pick a default weather scenario in the pre set button instead,that matches currant conditions at your local airport because i keep getting the same thunderstorm weather in Texas with the live weather one when there isn’t any near the airport i start in.
Something I’ve done lately to help. I’ll use Unrealwx or REX while I’m departing and transition it to the Microsoft love weather during climb or cruise. Depending on how things look on arrival, I may elect to go with Unrealwx or REX again. The only issue with this is when approaching the field, the weather may transition multiple times before it picks up your final destination. Hope that helps!
I’m using Unreal weather add on, works well and you get use to the transitions until you dont even notice them happening.
