yesterday i wanted to install some liveries and sceneries but when i checked in the CONTENT MANAGER what i saw is NEWER GAME VERSION REQUIRED …i have the new version 1. 10. 8..0 so i dont understand why and what newer game there talking about…is it possible that for now i have the xbox gamepass and they want me to buy it now or is it another problem. before the 1.10.8.0 it was working as to 1.9.3.0 everything is installed in the COMMUNITY folder.
how come nobody, nobody, in the forum or MICROSOFT or ASEBO GIVE ME AN ANSWER. ive just had the 1.10.11.0 update or patch werever, and still having same problem
IMPOSSIBLE to install new liveries or sceneries. NEWER GAME VERSION REQUIRED is this the mario bros version or what ???
Perhaps if you provided more information and were less combative, you would get a response.
Also, whenever you ask someone for “help” it’s usually good form to tell people some useful information, like what liveries you are trying to install, how you are trying to install them, what module in content manager is giving you the newer game version required from, whether you’ve installed the patch today, which specifically addresses liveries in the patch notes.
And BTW, this is a general discussion and feedback forum, not a technical support forum, so there’s that as well.
thank you i understand. maybe i had some kind of panic because everything else goes very well. ive downloaded the liveries and sceneries from flightsim.to and from msfsaddons.org. whether it comes from one or the other its the same thing, same problem. before the 1.10.8.0 update it was working perfect. i really dont understand what is hapening liveries for 320neo, 747, tbm etc…sceneries like montreal, ottawa, etc…and i installed everything in the COMMUNITY forlder. in the CONTENT MANAGER no problem with the originals from asebo or microsoft.. and BTW its not the first time im here in the forum and i think i helped a couple of persons here.
and sorry if i made or make some english mistake because im french from montreal. and trying to do my best. and for the technical issues i dont know were it is. but i dont have any technical issues. everyone here are talking about their issues and i do the same thing.as everyone. and i thank you very much to trying to help me.
There was an issue with the 1.10.7/8.0 update that required that the Liveries have extra “folders” that previously they didn’t need. There was a link to Livery authors at the home page of flightsim.to on steps to take to modify the liveries with the new folder structure to work with 1.10.8.0.
In the meantime, the latest patch says they “fixed” the problem with the liveries, which I am not sure what that exactly means. Did they remove the requirement? Don’t know.
My suggestion, if they don’t work after the patch, is to go to flightsim.to and follow the instructions of this link. That fixed all my livery issues, but it was a bit of a pain in the rear. Especially if you have hundreds of liveries. I know a lot of livery developers may have already made changes, so that can save you some work, possibly.
Again, according to Asobo, this should no longer be required, but you never know.

my god that is EXACTLY my problem. i was searching and searching for this and didnt found the answer. and the message in the CONTENT MANAGER was most for the developers as i understand it. NEWER GAME VERSION REQUIRED. ive already ask them for help and they respond to me to rely to Microsoft. i thank you very much for what you just send me and i will check this with a magnifying glass even if i have to sleep at 03h00 am. thank you will give news about that tomorrow.
thank you veyr very much it WORKED. ouffff will not sleep at 03h00 am. and yes its a bit of a pain but when we know how to do it its fairly easy.
i dont understand why microsoft or Asobo didnt correct this problem. so many people has the same problem. im very happy to know that i wasnt dreaming. its a bit long to do but that matters. thank you very much my friend. ive print the site information in case i forget it.
