Hi everyone,
I’m dealing with a somewhat strange problem that I haven’t been able to find anywhere online. I’ve been in the process of fully switching to MSFS 2024 for about two weeks now, and overall everything is great — I’m really happy with it. The only thing that really bothers me is that some liveries for various aircraft look extremely blurry.
I first noticed it with the Fenix. All liveries that I downloaded via the Fenix Installer are sharp and perfectly fine. Everything I download externally from the web (flightsim.to) is extremely blurry. At first I thought, okay, maybe this is just a Fenix thing.
Then I downloaded liveries for the iniBuilds A321 NLR — exactly the same issue. The built-in liveries look great, the downloaded ones are blurry.
Yesterday I bought the PMDG 737, and this is where it gets interesting. The liveries loaded via PMDG OC3 are also all blurry. Externally downloaded liveries from well-known livery creators are partly sharp and partly blurry.
I’ve tried everything in the settings: anti-aliasing off, extreme settings, 16x — it’s better, but still clearly blurry. I really can’t figure this out and have no idea what could be causing it. All drivers are up to date, the sim is up to date, and all aircraft are up to date as well.
I’ve attached three images, all taken from the aircraft selection menu — in-game the aircraft look exactly the same. You can see that the default PMDG 737 livery is blurry, while with the Fenix you can see the Fenix Installer version is sharp and the externally downloaded one is blurry.
When I look at the Pictures on the Livery Download Pages you can see the Liveries are sharp and not blurred.
Does anyone have any tips? I’m slowly running out of ideas.
