Brief description of the issue:

Thete is an incredible amount of autogen trees where they should not be. Most probably happened with the 600MB base update related to WU18 after August 22.

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

ICAO or coordinates (DevMode > Debug > Display position)

LKMS airport Czech republic (Miroslav Aircon)

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

compare WU17 (no trees as it should be) and WU18 (trees totally around the airport)

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

After the update on August 26, probably related to WU18

I have uploaded comparison photos… one is a real world photo that captures very well how the surroundings of the airstrip looked before WU18 in MSFS, it was very realistic. The below pictures (sorry for the low quality) show how after WU18 there is now trees and a complete forrest around the runway. And overall the surrounding countryside has way more trees than before, too.

3rd-Party Addons: None, Community Addons: None
Graphics Tab: Full Screen 3840 x 2160 TAA, Render resolution - 100, AMD Fidelity - 150, VSync - On, FRL - 50% MRR (120 Hz), HDR10 - On, DX12B, TLOD @ 400, OLD @ 200, Motion Blur - Off, Other settings - all Ultra, except: Water Waves & Glass Cockpit Refresh Rate @ High; Texture Supersampling, Terrain Shadows, Ambient Occlusion @ Off; Contact Shadows @ Medium.
Data Tab: Data Connection: All six options - On, Data Limit - Off, Bandwidth - Unlimited, Rolling Cache - Off
MSFS Version: MS-Store, Standard, plus All World and City Updates

This issue is still present. Is there a chance for a fix?

Ok, so with no reply after such a long time, I take it that this bug introduced with the latest World Update will probably never be fixed. If there is any chance to get any info on this it will be much appreciated - even if it is “we won’t fix that”.

After half a year I make another attempt… again, there is obviously something fundamentally wrong with how the current processes or AI detect trees and they are placed where there is absolutely no sign of them. All was OK before August 2024 Germany world update which could help isolate the issue. Any info on a potential fix is much appreciated.

By the way I’d like to learn how to do this myself - is it possible to learn this power? Not from a Jedi I presume so I’ll have to join the dark side I guess…? :wink:

Seriously, if you can point me to some resources to look at it would be much appreciated. I did want to try to fix it myself anyway… now I don’t have to, but perhaps I may wish to delete some more trees in the surroundings of the airstrip.

yes there are a few easy to follow tutorials on YT that can help you remove trees, it’s a simple operation.
