Loans in Career Mode

This should definitely be there. Not many small businesses start up with 100% owner’s equity. If you have a good reputation and income stream, you should have a good enough credit rating to get a decent loan. Especially if you have the first aircraft you could use as collateral.

This is such a great idea!!

I want a loan to pay for my license so I don’t have to grind out something I don’t want to fly. Plain and simple.

So I’m down for actually TWO loan systems. One for business and one for license.

Imagine if 2024 starts and says “look Pohtatoh you have 900 whatever hours in FS2020 so we have unlocked everything up to commercial license. You STILL need to pass exams to do the content for missions”

Many of us have hundreds or thousands of flight time. Some enjoy the slow grind. Some enjoy the 172. I just want to fly big boy stuff with more than 180hp.

I’ll be in free flight till they start paying more or change up the money locked licenses. Even willing to endure if they added free flight career. Use the feet to walk into a building to pick up jobs or tips on a location that has work. Can’t stand the repetition of 10 minute flight and back taxi, pulling covers off engines to get paid 300$. Back to loading screens to scroll through the missions to fly another really boring mission in a 0.2mile circle around some tiny town.

Yeah I was scammed into taking the 25k career path thinking it would be fine. No.. no it’s not. So starting over has really been an absolute nightmare.

That´s true. Just yesterday I had my visionjet go crazy at a turn on NAV mode in the mountains, luckily I was looking and could react quickly enough to prevent it from crashing (and get me out of black out) just in time. All in all I agree, there are just too many bugs to reliably call “skill issue” on crashes

Free flight career is what I´m hoping for the most. It doesn´t have to be anything fancy, like an in-depth company tycoon :stuck_out_tongue:
just these missions and a (not too harsh) unlock-path and I´m fine.

Career mode on live server, YES, please!

I am sure most of my fellow captains agree that the grind to get to create your own airline is a long one with many hours spent flying to destinations to achieve the buying of your own aircraft.

I think it would be a great idea to have a loan system where you can borrow money to help you out on your journey similar to other Sims. The bank can be locked until you get to the stage where you have enough to create your 1st company.

I like the way you think!

I haven’t tried career mode yet, but sounds like an interesting idea.

Considering the amount of work needed to get this game to work properly becasue of all the bugs, I doubt they would consider something like this for a very long time. Grind to your first plane kinda sucks but once you save enough to buy a plane for medium cargo missions, the payouts are much much better.

Not really, not in its current state. I imagine it’ll go something like this:

Congrats on your new company where you bear all the financial responsibility. Here’s a $5 million loan to get a shiny new plane!

10 min later

Oh wow, you just crashed your new plane and totaled it, sending you into bankruptcy (or whatever the equivalent is here). Never mind that you were mid flight with nothing around when you collided with… Something, but thems the breaks. Now, about those loan payments…

I fear that the whole career system is designed to sell us credits for real money. Thats a definite NO from me. We paid to much for the game to put up with that. Notice that the marketplace has not been released Yet. We can only wonder for now :exploding_head:

I’ve been wondering if a loan system in career mode could help smooth out the progression towards larger aircraft like the Boeing 737 MAX. Being able to strategically borrow and repay funds could offer an interesting alternative to the current save-and-grind approach.

Regarding the career mode, it would be wise to set up a bank to be able to make a loan to pass the licenses, because if one is limited in time, it takes a lot of missions to get there.
