Local Legend 18: The Westland Scout & Wasp Set is now available!

The manual indicates an assignment for the Helicoper throttle but can anyone advise whether a separate Collective assignment is required on a different axis to this - or to the same axis as the heli throttle?

Yes, you need to assign a separate axis to the collective.
The throttle axis is only used for startup and emergency procedures. For normal flight, you set the throttle to 100% and fly with the collective axis.

Thanks very much.

Is ā€˜Toggle Autopilot Masterā€™ used as the MSFS Control Assignment for the Autostab control? I guess a control assignment for turning Autostab off is not possible?

Just seen on discord the Roggle AP master does indeed turn Autostab on and off.

Correct. it has been noted further up in the thread. There currently is no way to assign the autostab release, and itā€™s quite awkward to try and click it off on the cyclicā€¦

I guess if you use a switch on your yoke you can toggle it on and off anyway so no need to click the button in the cockpit.

Thatā€™s the problem with the way it is right now.
You can assign a button on your yoke to turn it on, but you canā€™t assign a button to turn it off. There is not a way to assign a toggle button that does both.

If you have found a way, Iā€™m sure everyone in this thread would be very interested.

Apologies but I think i was not clear.I have looked on Ini discord and they say the Toggle AP Master button will turn the Auto stab on and off. The toggle button does both.

From Ini discird - ā€œā€œYes, by default the command is a toggle, so same button can both enable and disableā€ā€

You were clear. I just misread your postsā€¦

If that is the case, they need to update the manual on how to use and assign the Autostab. The manual says to HOLD the ā€˜AP Masterā€™ button (default assigned to ā€˜zā€™ key, tooltip labeled 'Autostab Engage) while moving the controls to the desired attitude, heading, bank, speed, etc. then release when stabilized to maintain those conditions. Then use the Autostab Release (tooltip labeled AP Master Release) button to turn off the function.

I couldnā€™t find an assignment available for ā€œAP Master Releaseā€ or ā€œAutostab Releaseā€ anywhere in the controller menu.

So if you assign a button to ā€œAP Master Toggleā€, it will perform both functions? Do you just press it to engage, or do you still hold and release?
I will have to give that a try, but I donā€™t usually use trim or SAS sim features because I fly with a PFT-Puma that doesnā€™t have a centering spring and I have the frictions set to stay where I put it.

You right - I was holding the AP Master toggle, which is probably not correct.Just press it to engage and press it again to disengage. I have asked on Discord if there is a display in the cockpit to show when it is engaged, or not engaged. The answer given was no there isnā€™t.
