Hey guys
I mostly fly the A320, Is this a know bug iv got a few international airports from the in game marketplace..
I plan my route from the in game world map but coming in for approach i can never lock on to the localizer, If im landing at defaults airports it locks on no probs..Im just wondering is this a bug or something else
I always set my landing runway for a ILS runway
Same problem with all airports from marketplace. LOWW, EKCH, EDDT, EDLP
You think these will be fixed anytime soon ?
I hope. But write about this problem to developers. They said that issue is from Asobo site…
ILS approach EKCH not working after update 1.8.3 of MSFS2020 - FlyTampa
Ok ill send a ticket..I just didnt know if it was something i was doing wrong, Thanks for the reply
Is this a new issue? I was flying into KMIA without any issues before, but haven’t tried it since the patch. I’ll give it a try tomorrow.
Iv had this problem since just after launch but only with DLC airports the default ones work fine..I don’t set up my flight plan using the FMC i do it in the default world map flight planner so maybe its a bug there…Anyway iv sent a ticket via Zendesk
Are you getting the localizer and can’t lock on,
or just not getting the localizer at all?
If the latter, you may have to manually enter the ILS frequency in the nav radio .
There seems to be an issue with some addon scenery in this regards,
as it doesn’t automatically get entered.
Thanks for the reply
I cant get the localizer at all, on Airports that iv got from the marketplace
Would you mind telling me how i would find and enter the ILS frequency to put into the nav radio..
As i said i set up all my flight from the World map meun but i am 90% familair with the A320 now from cold start to complete shutdown without the checklist menu
I always fly using IFR and ingame ATC if that helps
as you set up your flights in the World map menu, zoom the view in on the airport you going to land at, at the end of runways with localiser you will see the localiser beacon icon (check the filters for the world map), click on it and on the right side of the screen you will see the frequency info, much like if you clicked on an airport and see the airport info on the right of the screen.

Ok thank you for this i appreciate it
Don’t they have them the wrong way around? I mean, to get a working ILS frequency (and ID), you need to look at the one at the far end of the runway. At least it seems to be like that in the danish airports I’ve been looking at: EKCH, EKRN, EKBI, EKYT and EKAH.
That is because the localiser you use is the opposite end of the runway to which you are landing thus it can work along the length of the runway, while the vertical guidance part come from another transmitter on a paired frequency that is automatically acquired based on the localiser frequency.
