Locked on Splash Screen

I was using the sim fine until yesterday. I hadn’t been on for a couple of days, went to go on yesterday and it just hangs at Mount Fuji. Now its a nice shot but after 45 minutes it gets boring. Up to now it has run without any problems, updates worked and everything ran fine and now for no apparent reason its stuck. I’ve rebooted my hub, stopped and started gaming services but nothing works.

Any ideas

Hi @VolatileEmu016,
There’s been a lot of threads on this; discussed in this forum. Do a search on: blue bar

Or: stuck on fuji screen

MSFS is doing a lot during this phase from authentication, loading official files, loading community files, etc.

Some of the suggestions is to remove all Community files out or deleting the Rolling Cache file “rollingcache.ccc” in the LocalCache folder of MSFS.

I can’t find a rollingcache.ccc ? My installation is on its own drive ® I’ve also looked in main C under appdata? any ideas. By the way I’m not even getting the blue bar, just the spinner and fps at 800+ If I look on task Manager it’s using 90% of GPU

If you bought the MS Store version, on the drive you installed to, look for the Official folder then LocalCache. It’s in the same folder as UserCfg.opt, FlightSimulator.CFG and CAMERAS.CFG.

If you’ve never used Rolling Cache (off) then the file will not be there. But if it was ever turned on, it will be there (even if it is off now - as turning it off does not delete that file).

If you are not getting the blue bar, then this probably not the problem. It could be an authentication problem. Try logging out of XBOX (if installed) and log back in. Same if you have the XBOX companion app - log out, log back in. Sometimes a reset or repair of those apps may have to be performed.

Make sure Windows 10 and Store Apps are up to date.

Nope, now starting to tear my hair out, this makes no sense at all, something that worked perfectly well one day but not the next, don’t have XBOX installed or companion, pure pc base. I can’t get to see any error log to find out where it gets stuck because I can’t get in to look. Actually I saw that some people had success by turning off Defender real time protection, I thought I would try that but all the settings are greyed out???

looked in my windows defender file and everything was greyed out so I had a root around and it was all corrupted. Went on to windows repair and it told me I was on HC1 and should be HC2. Did the update, windows security is back and so is msfs??
