Lockheed FRF-104 G Starfighter - no tablet or checklist

Hi everyone got a problem. I just purchased the f104 on my xbox x and can’t get it to work. No checklist no tablet. Can’t find anyway to bring up the tablet if it actually exists. Can anyone point me in the right direction thanks.

Hello @TillableMaple76,
Welcome to the forums!

I have created this topic for you as the subcategory you posted in isn’t for seeking assistance. Hopefully someone can assist you.

I don’t think the 104 had a tablet. Have you checked on the developers site for a manual or instructions?

IIRC startup requires using the little tablet-equivalent thing to call up the generator cart (it’s a clipboard IIRC, and I do not remember where the clickspot for it is! there’s a long existing thread on the F-104 here on this forum you could ask in, or check for the numerous tutorial videos on YouTube that’ll probably tell you how to get going)

Thanks and yes you have to fuelup and get the generator in place. Seen most of the videos but none seem to show the clipboard toggle.

Can you tell me how to seek assistance then please as i can’t seem to put a question out there.

Is this from Sim Skunk Works?

They don’t have a direct contact from their own website, but they do on:
https://www.justflight.com/product/sim-skunk-works-lockheed-martin-frf-104g-starfighter-msfs via email: help-desk@simskunkworks.it

Or:

Thanks for the info. Just pinged an email off to skunk works so fingers crossed.

All the information needed to fly the f-104 is in the doc folder. the F-104 doesn’t have a tablet but has a checklist which is down below the throttle on the left kick panel. The click point is the document holder and when clicked it will pop up a checklist which you can use your mouse to change pages and add tip tanks, fuel up and other functions. You need to turn the INS to standby and wait until the green light starts flashing, then turn one click to the right.
There are a number of steps to complete before flight such as setting takeoff trim, then after the INS is aligned set the position and homing indicator to align with runway heading as well as turning on nav lights and other settings as well.
I would suggest reading the F-104 tips and tricks as well as the F-104 flight manual to familiarize yourself with the various systems.
I will add a screenshot showing the document holder below the throttle that you click on to pull up the checklist in order to add tip tanks and fuel and other tasks.
It is better if you read the files in the docs folder as there is a lot of valuable information. My screenshot may look washed out as I use an HDR monitor but you can see the document holder below the throttle to click on with your mouse.
Hope this helps. You can call up the EFB tablet using TAB on the keyboard but fueling and other functions need to be set using the F-104 Checklist
