Logbook not saving since before patch

Ok, so when I have ended a flight and the logbook entry appears, it’s showing me the latest logbook entry from yesterday, before the patch. The same goes for looking at the entire logbook from Profile - nothing saved there from today.

I had no problems patching the game and everything else seems to be in order.

Is there anyone out there with the same problem, or who knows how to fix the incorrect logbook entry?

Yep , my logbook is from before the patch as well

Same here, just finished 4 hour flight from Newcastle to Copenhagen - after parking up, it showed yesterdays flight in logbook before quitting. Annoying!

Yes. The same for me. Only show the last flight from before the patch.

I was running with developer mode on always have, after the patch my logbook stopped also. Turned off developer mode restated and it works again. Turn it back on stops logging.

I’ll give that a try and report back. I was also in developer mode, to see if FPS changed with the new patch.

If they made it so the logbook doesn’t work in developer mode, then it should have been in the changelog…

Ah, interesting! I am also running in developer’s mode. Will try it out without it. Thank you.

i turned off developer mode and it is now writing to logbook again

I can also confirm that turning off Dev mode works. The logbook is recording again. Hopefully this will get resolved soon enough. Thanks for the help, guys.

I noticed this also and indeed it is tied to being in dev mode. Not a bug in my opinion but intentional. Think about it, in developer mode one is testing things and not seriously flying.

Yeah, if you look at it that way it totally makes sense. I was often just changing aircraft midair or jumping between coordinates with the teleporter when in dev mode. :grinning:

Unless you’re developing something to do with logbook though

I just tested:

Dev mode is OFF
Start flight
Use devmode
Exit devmode
exit flight

And the flight was saved ok.

Same here - no logging of flights when using developer mode for performance monitoring. Will try again using RivaTuner and MSI Afterburner for FPS info why flying instead

Have the same problem - also the hours won’t count anymore.

Hi all,

shut off the dev mode. Then logbook is working again.

Also if you have msfs2020 installed via steam you can enable FPS display (goes for all your steam games).

I have had all my flights with DEV mode off but my flights since the patch record the flight time but not the takeoffs and landings. I used ATC for the entire flight KFHR to KSFF, visual landing 04L in the dark, no takeoff or landing recorded. Even before the patch it was hit or miss whether or not my log would show flight time and takeoffs and landings. I just tried toggling DEV mode on, saving it, toggling it off, saved it. I’ll see if my next flight records correctly.

I follow your instructions and doesn’t work for me. Even I never use Dev Mode and this problem start after the last update. I just made a flight of about one hour with the 172 and nothing write in my logbook.

Any ideas?

I have some flights recording in the logbook and some missing. I’m investigating but those that end at engine/avionics shutdown at a target destination seem to record while those where I quit the flight in the air or landing at an alternative area and not shutting down don’t seem to record reliably
