Lately my Saitek Rudder Pedals have started making a loud click when they return to neutral. It does it returning from right and left rudder. I have had these rudder pedals for about 10 months. I never really noticed the click until about 2 months ago. I saw a few inquiries about this online but no solutions or explanations. My question: is anyone else getting this click with their pedals? And if so can anything be done about it?
Mine has always done it.
I figured that’s just the way they are.
They work well though, so I pretty much just ignore it.
They shouldn’t click. Mine are quiet. If there no warranty time remaining, you could try accessing the interior to see if there’s something loose or out of place.
I opened mine up to see where it was coming from.
It seems to be something under the tensioner but I can’t see it unless I take the thing apart, which I ain’t gonna do ‘cause, knowing me, I’d probably break it.
(Now it’s really starting to bug me
)
I was lucky that mine was still under warranty. I got in touch with Logitech about it and they sent me a new one, which does not click. I still have the old clicky one if the new one ever craps out. I may look inside of it someday and see if I can fix it.
Sadly, mine is out of warranty.
Wish I knew how to fix it myself.
Mine did the same, there is a little spring loaded pin under the center piece of the rudder pedals arm that clicks into the indent when the pedals centre, I lifted it up and put some grease inside and that did the trick. You need to strip the whole assembly to get to it, quite a mission but that solved the problem.
Some day when I’m feeling brave I’ll give this a try.
Thanks.
Tension spring connector arm thing broke on one of mine so now I have absolutely no tension at all. But they are many years old. I spent half a day trying to figure out a workaround but nothing I did could hold the tension. I guess I should get a new set really.
