Anyone experience this where you turn on your PC, launch the sim, start a flight or do a landing challenge then find your rudders aren’t working just to look down and see no “green light” on the rudder base? It’s rare, but I don’t always check to ensure and every once and a while after booting, waiting for the long SIM load time, then go into something and later find out and man it’s MADDENING!!! I have to reboot to get it to turn on again.
I too have had this. My solution is to pause the simulator (Ctl+Alt+Esc). I then access the Device Manager through Windows Settings. Find the pedals and it will show a not ready icon (not sure exactly what it looks like). Right mouse button to disable and then Enable the pedals. Green light comes on. Back to simulator in its paused state. You will probably get a notice about new controller detected. If, like me, you have customised the rudders you need to check that you have the correct settings and then go back to resume from the pause state.
Seems long winded but its a good deal faster than rebooting and then restarting the simulator.
Yes, I’ve done this too, from the beginning!
If you are using an AMD CPU check for ‘AMD USB problems’ on Google.
