I’d like to reach out to the community here to see if anyone has gone through what I have regarding the Logitech Yoke.
I’ve got 2x Pro Micro’s controlling all of the aspects of the yoke, the Logitech board is in the trash bin. I’ve upgraded to Hall effect sensors. I’ve done all of the possible mods around the Roll&Pitch return springs & detent.
I feel like I’ve done nearly everything possible to improve this Yoke, and the only thing left that I’m still struggling with is the Shaft & Bearing I think. I’ve applied Lithium grease carefully to the shaft. The problem I have is that there are “binding” points when moving the shaft in/out, a few around the center and a few when pulling aft, none when pushing forward.
Has anybody here replaced the nylon bushings, or removed & polished the shaft etc? I really want to get this Yoke up to snuff and I’ve spent a lot of time and energy in doing so. But this is where I’m a bit stuck as mechanically I’m not sure if this can be fixed or if it is just the nature of how the shaft & yoke is designed. If anyone has done so and knows the diameter etc or what is best to replace the bushing if it helped etc even on other yokes, this info would be greatly appreciated. I’d like to fix this aspect and share the process while doing it if its possible, or just give up on the yoke if not.
