Same issue here, zooming out seems to fix it for now and only since SU1.

I have also experienced this today. If I set TLOD to 400, the flight will not ever start no matter how far out or in I zoom on the globe. When I set TLOD down to 100, zoom all the way out to the globe, then hit the “Start Flight” button, it works nearly every time. It is clear to me that TLOD is part of this issue.

This workaround does the trick for me with my system for the time being …

Started happening to me yesterday using the B737 MAX. Had the beta versions & had no similar issue. Only started since release of SU 1.

I am having the same issue. Infinite load times. I have not tried changing the TLOD or zooming all the way out. , but I have noticed that if I spawn in a low level of detail area, the free flight will load some times.
Very frustrating that this sim is so hard for the team to make functional!

Ok, so if both topics are about the same issue (infinite loading), would it be possible to update the title of this topic to include the word “infinite” so it reflects the issue more clearly?

Please fix the error immediately. First of all, when selecting photogrammetry areas, the map does not load, I cannot start the flight.

Significantly reducing the TLOD value helps to solve the problem. After reducing the TLOD value, the flight starts. After starting the flight, I reset the TLOD value to 200, and it works.

I’ve had this problem prior to SU1. This should be on Asobo’s #1 issue to fix.

Same issue for me. Worked fine until SU1 now free flight results in spinning circle and no spawn. Update: “BUT(!) the workaround is to reduce LOD to 10” works for me too. Then turn LOD back up to desired setting.

I’ve got the same. Just started after SU1. First it was just at a few aftermarket airports but it seems to be spreading to others. Totally unacceptable that I need to screw with the LOD just to get the sim to work.

Excellent advice which worked perfectly for me! Thanks. Once loaded, I then update to my original TLoD
And all is well!

I found the zoom fully out before clicking Start Flight works..
