I was wondering the same thing. I fly airliners, and loading many of the world’s major hubs was impossible, while loading in more sparse areas was never a problem. Setting LOD to 100 to start the flight did the trick, then I set it back to 400.
Also confirming that returning to the world map, and zooming out, then starting flight is a good workaround for this issue.
My flow:
Pick Departure Airport and Gate
Import Simbrief Flightplan
Zoom all the way out
Start flight.
If I load the Simbrief Flightplan before selecting the gate, selecting the gate will delete the flightplan route.

Same for me.
Wasn’t able to load any flights without TLOD set to minimum.
Once I reduced to minimum I could load the flight and set the TLOD back up and continue with TLOD on max.
Have been getting this problem for the last 12 hours. No matter what aircraft I select or what airport I select, I get a spinning circle in the bottom corner and no flight will load. And this happens even with an empty community folder.
Compared to 2020, 2024 is a piece of unreliable rubbish. It often fails to load the start button, so you can’t use it. Or when it does load the start button, it fails to load a flight, so you can’t use it. What’s the point of software you can’t use? And it won’t tell you what is wrong when it fails.
2020 may load a lot slower but I can use it EVERY TIME without fail.
This is not fixed with SU2!! 
Why then even make reports?
Just as a reminder: that bug was introduced with SU1 Beta, reported during SU1 beta and released with SU1.

Still got the same issue here, SU 2 beta. Works fine usually with first aircraft, but if i dare to end the flight and select another aircraft im stuck in infiite loading
Its sickening, frustrating and very sickening that these ppl put a sim like this into live production and with the fixes they implemented its still having problems like this, why do i have to wait so long to do a simple free flight. Why think dont allow ppl to download msfs as with msfs 2020 and load what eva needs to be loaded from the cloud, but to be constantly be dealing with issues like this is very exhuasting, especically paying all this money for WHAT! ??? Christ !

I have Aerosoft ENGM ( one of the best scenery out there). This scenery is really well done, and its not a small airport… BUT this airport works every time!
If I want to fly from EDDF and EDDL (both from Aerosoft), then it doesn’t work.. same for EBBR… makes no sense!! I really hope that it will be fixed when the official SU2 is out..
now they have somehow ported this bug back to 2020
recently (out of nowhere) i started having infinite flight loading times in 2020 (never happened before, user since 2022)
i came across this thread and tried the tlod 10 workaround. it worked.

Unfortunately it’s still an issue with SU1. Sometimes I have to exit and restart the sim. I don’t have that issue in SU2 beta.
