Long Stutters

Hi,

For a while MSFS was working fine for me.

Had RAM Error or GPU Error…

But lately things have been going well.

But since 2 days I’ve noticed a problem.

I have hangs of up to 5 seconds.

As I said, everything is stable. Only it hangs again and again for several seconds.

If it were short jerks ok… Is also normal in flight sims.

But my hangers are noticeably very long, I keep thinking that a CTD will come, but then it goes on.

After reinstalling everything a few weeks ago, it was running fine until a few days ago.

I don’t understand why these stutters are coming.

Does anyone have a tip where I should look?

MSFS Xbox ver. or PC ms store, steam?

Same here. I’m wondering if the recent windows update has something to do with that.

Windows 10 or 11?

Win 11
Found the same. Was running smooth as butter 2 weeks ago but now some update or driver causes massive lags. It goes away when the pop out windows aren’t popped out so it’s related to that. I’m sure it’s an update or drive that has caused it in my setup so will try rolling back a few nvidia versions to see what happens.

Fixed:

The problem was apparently with Volanta.

I tried it yesterday without Volanta and didn’t even have a micro stutter.

It ran consistently at 45 FPS.

Actually I didn’t want to finish Volanta…

But I haven’t found anywhere to disable autosave.

In Settings I can choose 5 or 60 minutes.

But no option how to disable autosave

I get this kind of problem with installed realtek audio drivers.

Hello you all. I don’t know if this is helpfull but it worked for me. I noticed somewhere on the forum a note from someone saying that the issue was resolved after uninstalling the Embraer Worldwide E-Jets AI from Adventum simulations. I actually did buy and install this mod. But I have the impression that it doesn’t work well together with FSLTL. So I did two things: 1) I removed the E-Jets AI (FSLTL now also has E-Jets) and 2) I deleted the rolling cache. It worked for me. No more stutters, a normal flight, the first one without stutters in recent weeks and I used a PMDG 737-800. A high fidelity plane that needs quite some resources. I also, for the fun of testing, placed the AI sliders to the max just to check if the issue was really resolved and yes, it works fine.

I have this problem too, but I don’t have (and have never had) the E-Jets AI or Volanta. Nor have I ever used pop-out windows.

It happens perhaps once every 30-60 minutes for me, but it’s a hard freeze of 2-4 seconds each time it happens. It seems to happen most when departing or approaching an airport.

I also just had my first CTD in months instantly that I disabled VR with Ctrl-Tab to switch back to my desktop monitor as I was right about to enter cruise. :frowning: I don’t believe that should be rolling cache related either, as I was flying in a region I’ve never flown in before, or even remotely close to. (I’m going to delete that now just in case, though.)

I’m on Windows 11 and fly mostly with the PMDG 737-600 and FlightFX Cirrus Vision Jet G2. The CTD was with the latter, but the hard stutter happens with all aircraft including default ones.
