I have this problem too, but I don’t have (and have never had) the E-Jets AI or Volanta. Nor have I ever used pop-out windows.
It happens perhaps once every 30-60 minutes for me, but it’s a hard freeze of 2-4 seconds each time it happens. It seems to happen most when departing or approaching an airport.
I also just had my first CTD in months instantly that I disabled VR with Ctrl-Tab to switch back to my desktop monitor as I was right about to enter cruise. 
I don’t believe that should be rolling cache related either, as I was flying in a region I’ve never flown in before, or even remotely close to. (I’m going to delete that now just in case, though.)
I’m on Windows 11 and fly mostly with the PMDG 737-600 and FlightFX Cirrus Vision Jet G2. The CTD was with the latter, but the hard stutter happens with all aircraft including default ones.
