MSFS hasn’t been working properly for a few days on my PC.
Basically, from any way I open the app (locally, from Xbox, from Microsoft store, etc.) MSFS opens with the movie and with the words “press any button to start”, executing the command opens the Xbox login window with the “Start” option.
Clicking “start” the process loops (press button to start- Start, endlessly)
I have already performed the various restores and updates of the Apps (xbox etc) but the problem is not solved.
The strange thing is that sometimes, rarely restarting the PC, the problem disappears (the simulator completes the opening process), but then, rebooting again, problem reappears.
I can’t figure out the cause, example today I’m less fortunate and MSFS remains in a loop.
I’ve been going crazy for this for 5 days, I’m giving up and I’m afraid that reinstalling the simulator is not a good solution, considering that everything points to a serverization problem.
Any sugestion?
I’m having the same problem since yesterday, while I was playing with MSFS on Xbox SeriesX, MSFS crashed and I haven’t been able to boot it back up anywhere!
My feeling is that the user’s profile data has been corrupted, because in other Xbox profiles it does work without a problem. To try to solve it for my user, I have tried the following WITHOUT SUCCESS:
- Forcefully close the application.
- Restart Xbox (with complete shutdown)
- Uninstall offline package.
- Uninstall Add-on
- Delete the local profile (not deleted in the cloud)
- Reinstall all Flight Simulator
- Leave the BETA program and reinstall Flight Simulator again
None of this has worked!
The most worrying thing is that the problem does not end here… I have even tried opening MSFS in cloud gaming via PC, and it doesn’t work either! That makes me think that the only option we have left is to delete all the data from the Xbox profile in the cloud, and you know… we will completely lose all the game progress, settings and logbook (not the achievements). I personally am resisting doing this, I wouldn’t like to lose my entire profile after so many years of progress…
I’m using MSFS only on PC, what makes me think is that, at least for me, every now and then the simulator starts without doing anything.
The fact that it doesn’t work for you on two different platforms, leads to the conclusion that the problem is outside our systems
Who knows, maybe it’s the AI of MSFS that doesn’t allow the planes to come out of the hangars with all this rain falling (at least here)
I have the same problem. Starting the flight simulator will result in a crash during one of the loading screens. But I found a way to get it running.
When I disconnect all peripherals and start it from my phone with Xbox remote play it will start. I guess in my case there is something wrong with my controls. I will further investigate the issue.
To me, without doing anything, simply turning on my PC and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t, I don’t understand exactly what affects this behavior of the App. (normally in computer science a program works or doesn’t)
I would contact support but it is not very clear on how to do this
It’s unbearable that the operation of our simulator depends on chance, or on who knows what there outside your PC.
And it’s really frustrating to not be sure whether or not your program will work every time you try to access it.
It is also unacceptable that there is no possibility of detecting an error code somewhere in this case and tha we are forced to make it work with witchcraft strokes
I think I’ll change simulator
