ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Scientific Research mission (Twister at KRPC) crashes the game on completion. Huge reputation hit on reloading the sim.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Yes, vanilla sim - no files in Community folder.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Fly mission
  2. After receiving XP / money, click next
  3. Crash

ā€¢ During XP gain it hit NaN on the XP calculation, suspect this is the cause of the crash.

Also i want my S rating back, f***.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: After completing the first Scientific mission (the tornado one) I received my rating. It was showing an ā€œAā€ but with ā€œInfinityā€ XP.

After I took that screenshot it added my ā€œNo Skipā€ bonus and it became a real, normal amount of XP. However, as soon as I went back to the hangar, it said my companyā€™s reputation dropped to C. It was at mid- A on the way to S before.

No, but Iā€™m unsure of how to repeat it as this was a special mission so I cannot retest, but all I have in my Community folder are aircraft.

Thanks to the mods for moving my thread, I didnā€™t find it when searching somehow. Glad to see this isnā€™t just me and has votes. Hope new players wonā€™t experience this in the future as itā€™s really defeating to see hard earned reputation go down the drain. Hardly as big of a deal as some are making it seem in my view, though, as it doesnā€™t tank your finances and reputation can be regained fairly quickly if you know how to pick the right missions, some of which can give several hundred thousand XP without skipping and with bad weather bonuses.)

I had exactly the same experience as described by the OP except that I did not CTD at the end of the mission, however despite getting an S rating for the flight I still lost a whole bar of rep - high A to mid B - actually more than a whole bar.

Hi all! Iā€™ll add it too!
I finished the mission with a score above 95% and obtained the S!
And yet when I return to the office, I lose my reputation and I am demoted from A to D! D!!! Reputation = 0!!!
Along with a lot of other bugs, this is a failed release!
There are very, very many mistakes!

Had another longer Tornado mission available today and thought this one would work. It almost did until I got close to landing and a pop up box indicated the mission had crashed. I was exited to HQ with no ill affect, but also no gain. So maybe Asobo put this mission out as a test? Did anyone else see this one? I think the location was in the midwest.

+1 Same issue. Passed mission with S rating. CTD. Rep down from A to C following restart.

Please fix MS/Asobo.

Has anyone tried doing so bad that you donā€™t hit the NaN bug? I havenā€™t done this mission yet so maybe Iā€™ll try it later today

I had this issue now three times, started all with the tornado mission. Then I did other missions, like a ferry mission just now and the rep indicator becomes red and then drops. I should be in the A rating by now, however, I have dropped to mid C nowā€¦ bugged!!!

Same thing just happened to me. Completed the mission successfully, hit continue, game crashed, loaded back in and reputation went from mid A all the way down to 0 into D. I lost ALL reputation

I donā€™t mind sucking up a bad review. I did a stinker with a taildragger yesterday, bumped me down to a ā€˜Cā€™ (deservedly so).

Itā€™s where itā€™s an undeserved bug fault that we have the issue. I hope itā€™s high up on the fix list.

I wish I had seen this thread sooner, this mission destroys your reputation no matter what.

went from an S to a C

1st run it CTD
2 run when the plane spawned it was like it was dropped 20ft from the air, it dropped out of the sky, then it would fully power up but wouldnā€™t move

3rd run it seemed to be ok , then the rudder suddenly stopped working

Kept getting penalised for things I hadnā€™t done or just made no senseā€¦ this mission could be a game breaker for some it sucked doing all that only to see my reputation shoot straight down to a C

Same bug here. Flown the tornado mission, game crashed at hq, restart and reputation went down vom mid S to B

Okayā€¦ In the end, the reputation can be returned after 3-4 missionsā€¦
