Loosing power

I have had this happen three times. Once in the Alaskan bush trip, today flying from St. Louis to Kansas City, and the third time was a while back. What happens is the power reduces and I can’t get it to increase. I have the settings on the easy for now so I was thinking I shouldn’t have any mechanical failures. In the bush flight I was over flat land and landed. All I did was turn the start even though the engine was still running and everything worked fine. Today I was flying the Bonanza G36 and fifty miles from Kansas City the power dropped and I couldn’t increase it and trying restarting the engine like I did before nothing happened. The engine was still running when I tried to restart. Any ideas.

The Bonanza is fuel injected (In real Life) however it is possible that the MSFS model is configured for a carbureted engine. If that is the case you could be getting carb ice. Next time try to apply carb heat and see if it restores the power. You will probably need to use a binded key stroke to apply the heat as the Bonanza should not have a carb heat control, being that it is injected in real life.
