Lose IFR flight plan with ILS approach when nearing the airport

Brief description of the issue:

For the last several months, My IFR flight plans stop working when I get near the destination airport. The magenta course line always disappears when this happens. It also always happens before the aircraft has neared final approach course. If I fly the airplane toward the final approach course course and then engage Approach mode, the AP will usually capture the ILS and Glideslope. If I just set a GPS course (not setting an ILS approach) there is no problem following that course to the destination air[port

To get an helpful answer you should give more data such as :
Type of aircraft , the complete flight plan that we could replicate (SID and STAR )and possibly find the issue.
