I was flying the TBM from Columbus, GA to Sarasota, FL. As I went to begin descent I lost all access to clickable mouse controls - no switch or knob would respond to left or right-click. Ironically, I could rotate all knobs with my scroll wheel but could not rotate with click-access. (I found another user who posted an almost identical issue, but the thread has been closed.)
The mouse was working fine in all other areas. I could go to the desktop and open another program or browser window. It even worked for all of the FS toolbar menus - I could open and close them and select items with no issues, but as soon as I attempted to control anything on the panel or elsewhere in the cockpit… nothing.
I closed and restarted FS and recreated the same flight - everything was fine until I reached the same point. As I went to begin my descent (off the Gulf coast of FL) the mouse button access stopped again. The only way I was able to restore mouse access was to save the flight then open the saved version. This created another mess in that the plane continued from the saved position but many items were “off” - I had to reset all AP items and re-access the FP, though I was able to descend from that point and land (I also lost ATC - I refiled but could not get the ATC to respond for any portion of the approach).
Following that, with the same aircraft and all mods/add-ons being identical, I had no more issues with flights to other destinations. (I’m flying the Store version)
