Loss of premium content

I’ve seen people report this but a search did not reveal to me how everyone got it back. Just happened last update.

Do I have to completely delete the entire sim and reinstall

I’ve done the repair in the windows setting. I’ve downloaded the missing content from the content folder. Says installed but it is not??

Help?

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Please be aware that you do not install the Upgrades via the Microsoft Store. Please ensure that the Premium and Deluxe content is not available and ready for download in the content manager. To do so, follow the steps outlined in this knowledge base article: Only 2 aircraft in the hangar - How to install additional content?

  • If you see the error message “(this content) does not work on this device” please ensure that you are correctly logged in to the Microsoft Store app and to the sim with the Microsoft Account used to purchase a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator.

For additional troubleshooting steps, see our dedicated knowledge base article: Microsoft Store error message “(this content) does not work on this device”

It says it’s available to download in the content manager. I download it and it doesn’t show up in game. It’s downloading it somewhere but possibly not the correct location. Where is the deluxe content supposed to be located at?

Any other suggestions on this?

Hi had the same issue …go into your install location and find the package folder and in there find the Official folder and delete the file asobo -aircraft-c172sp-classic folder and restart the program. When looking for updates it will find the file and replace it and will replace all other aircraft …worked for me every time.

Thank you I will check this. I miss the steam gauge 172 and 152 aerobat

After doing this for maybe a week ,I found just restarting the sim solves this issue until rebooting the computer. Then rinse and repeat.

Same here, and I think it’s because my Microsoft account somehow gets disconnected during the reboot because it shows a popup that there’s something wrong with my account and asks for my PIN. Even though it says that it’s fully connected after entering my PIN, starting FS20 will result in not seeing my premium content until I exit and restart the SIM. It’s as if Windows is not telling FS20 that the account connection has been restored.

I was able to go to the content manager and download the missing content. Magically it worked. I had done that 3 times in the past and each time it didn’t work. I think it was after the previous patch, meaning 2 patches ago took it away and the next patch allowed me to download and install the premium content. So for now. Randomly I have my premium content back, as this is a beta release I suppose it’s expected to have an unstable situation, anyway for now we can close this thread, on to the next issue.

I’ve had this issue on Steam (Premium Deluxe) and a restart of the game always fixes it. Dont know if that works for the MS Store version but worth a try.

Always go for the easy options first as you dont want to go through the pain of a reinstall and find out you didnt need to.
