Because of the new update nice job Asobo you did it again! How can i restore them? Saving them before these buggy updates isnt possible.
Try a new install. All of your settings are stored in Asobo system cloud and should download to your system. As for me, this update went very smoothly and all is just fine but a few months ago I had to do a reinstall because I lost Marketplace and Photogrammetry. I was amazed that all of my settings were restored as well. Good luck with yours. I know the frustration.
Can i logg out of my profile and log in again
Creating new profiles for your keyboard and rudders should restore functionality, but any custom commands or sensitivity settings will have to be reset manually.
Yes, you can try that. Just might help. It has helped others. Did you remember to remove all mods from your Community folder before you installed?
When i create a new profile i get my old profiles back? i dont understand. it took me like 5 hours and i really dont know how i set them up.
Also my Saitek yoke is completely gone
My settings were erased also but I think I would rather just redo them all myself. I’m not 100% sure but I think the only reason for this uodate to affect those settings was because the update included changes to rudder effectiveness and reaction.
Asobo had the worst bugs ever in every update, they have no quality control. I must redo all settings for a 93 year old flight simmer via Teamviewer with a full logitech set and drones settings. We figured this out via teamviewer in a very long process…
I don’t know even where to start… worst is that asked month ago how to save the settings cause asobo is known for breaking stuff, but there’s just no option
well if I’m not mistaken, ‘saving’ all of our settings wrt to aircraft control would not be feasible because ASOBO MSFS is still tweaking their global flight modeling.
So for example - for the same reason that I had to heavily modify all settings in game regarding ‘rudder’ inputs (because their global ‘rudder’ authority and yaw moment wrt to prop torque is so…unusual) I would have to undo or alter many of those edits of mine should they correct those errors in the sim.
It will be different when they get to the point where all of the updates are cosmetic, visual, or aural. But until then I’m resigned to having to check and adjust my settings as they work through some of those bugs or shortcomings or whatever you want to call them.
…and aircraft developers will have to do the same for their products and tweak the various FM ploys they used to make their airplanes function from one version to the next.
I have taken a screenshot of the pages related to JS mapping and just save those in a photo folder called MSFS joystick settings - the keyboard I keep pretty close to default and just learn it - rather than match it to say DCS or similar
A Complete reinstall solved it. All the settings are there again, BUT all saitek/logitech panels are not working.
So i reinstalled the logitech drivers and it works…
Again, nice job Asobo, looking for more gamebreaking updates in the future
