I cannot find a way to recall anything from the preset manager in the controls section. I had a bunch of button fixed up and tried to save the configuration but lost everything. I would like to know how to save multiple configuration then reload the one I need for a specific aircraft. All I can see that it does is New, Duplicate, Rename, Clear all, reset to defaults, and Delete. Any help would be appreciated because I don’t want to set up all those buttons again.
Thanks
Why would you use different profiles for every plane? You must have a reason for that, and it’s fine… but…
You can change you profiles right under the name of controller type (Keyboard, mouse, controller etc…)
You can have multiple profiles too. Just make a new one by clicking the + sign in preset manager.
Preset manager commands are for one profile at the time. If you want to rename, duplicate, delete other profile, you first select it from under the name of controller type, or make a new one.
Hoe do I save then recall a profile?
After you have made your chances, you save from the bottom of the screen. (Apply & Save)
And you can change the profiles from the menu line of screen/under the names of controller types. (Keyboard, Mouse etc…)
With Preset Manager you can rename, duplicate, delete the profiles you have made, one profile at the time. And make a new profile by clicking the button [+]
But how do you recall a saved profile? Is there a list of saved profiles? I am looking at this like a profile is a file and you can save it somewhere, then recall it when you need it. That’s the part I’m confused about. I do appreciate your help and the quick responses.
Thanks
I think I found it. The list is in the left and right arrows under the name of the controller box. Is that correct?
Yes. That’s what I have been trying to tell you
There is no other list where you can see all the profiles.
Somewhat related issue: I have different profiles for single engine and twin engine aircraft but for some reason, the next time I go to change to one or the other, the settings for the twin-engine throttles, mixture, and prop have reverted back to the single-engine. I know I had saved each one and even used them. This seems to happen every time MS does an update. This is for my Saitek X-56 throttle unit.
Is this a known bug? Is there a way to keep this from happening rather than having to re-map the controls each time?
This maybe stupid question, but after you change the profile, do you always remember to Apply/Save?
Not a stupid question, but yes, I do remember to save and the few times I forgot, the program does remind me.
I suspect the monthly updates are doing it. At least, I’m getting practice mapping my controllers.
