LoupeDeck Live & CT plugin

Hi all,

The new release of the LoupeDeck UI 6.0 breaks the plugin. If you want to use it please stay on 5.9.1. The fix for the 6.0 is in progress.

Ah thanks, was scrambling today to try and figure out why it was no longer working.
Went through all kinds of troubleshooting haha.
Iā€™ll Wait for the update.

Hi CaliBx,
first off all thank you for your great work really appreciate.
I have one question, i updated my Loupedeck Live to 6.0 yesterday and they have mentioned that some Plugins have to be installed again, but the MSFS Plugin is not in the Loupedeck Marketplace.
Is that normal?

Yes, I need to update it for the 6.0.

Just a good news : the actual plugin works well in 5.9 and MSFS 2024. There aresome bugs to fix (with fast forward) but not a big thing. Iā€™ll fix them with the 6.0.

The day after buying Loupedeck for exclusive MSFS use, the company took the plugin off their Marketplace.
I contacted Loupedeck who sent me the v2.4.0 profile to install. It installed without any problem.

I pressed a key on the profile and turned a knob as I understood thatā€™s what activated it but none of the pre-programmed keys or knobs had any effect. Swipes across the screen worked, but when I went into the UI and mouse-overed the keys and knobs, I got ā€œAction Not Availableā€ on all the pages.
Same thing happened when I installed CaliBxā€™s v3.0.1. I saw MSFS is now back on the Marketplace which I tried but again to no effect.
I added a new empty profile and manually programmed Parking Brakes which worked perfectly but I donā€™t have the skills to make full profiles of the complexity I see online that you guys have managed.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled each profile six times ensuring my Windows 10 Firewall and Network protection and Virus and Threat protection was off and had no change to the symptoms.

For those kind and patient enough to help me, be advised I am elderly but semi-literate in IT matters; however my only introduction to C+ was when I was young and written on a shamefully completed French exam.

HI, can you open an issue in the github repo ?

Thanks, will do.

Issue raised hopefully correctly as not familiar with Github repository, under the name Aaron-C-Reskew.

Loupedeck Live
Loupedeck version 5.9 running
Nothing else - no WASM, no SpadNext

Loupedeck seems to work perfectly with default A/Cā€¦

  • AP functions well
  • Lights function well
  • Trim, flaps, heading, altitude all work perfectly

After loading the FBW A320, nothing works on the Loupedeck.

I understand that LD version 6 is buggy (it didnā€™t work for me). I also understand that the FBW A320 requires something in addition to LD5.9 - what? I tried Mobiflight and WASM, but couldnā€™t get anything to work. Is there a profile created for the FWB A320? Seems like a ton of programming for MIDI settings - hoping that someone more keen than I has put in the hours (out of sheer love for the Sim)!!

Hi, for the FBW you need the WASM version of the plugin but it is not ready. For now I try to work on the compatibility with the new LD 6.

The new release (4.0) is in progress, main change is compatibility with the Loupedeck 6 UI. I hope to release it at the end of the month.

Loupdeck Live 5.9 didnā€™t auto activate with MSFS 2024 itā€™s default being windows. Restarted Loupdeck same result, brought LD up on screen over FS24, manual selected MSFS and was able to set altitude, nav, heading and have the aircraft respond normally. However when I minimise it back to the system tray it defaults back to windows mode. Donā€™t know if this is a one off yet because of the poor state of the game but I doubt it. Maybe Loupdeck is just not recognising MS24 when it starts up. Thank you CaliBx for all the work that must have gone into writing this program it works a treat.

Hi, you are right : LoupeDeck use the process name to switch between profiles. The process name is not the same for MSFS 2020 and 2024.
I will update this in the new release. Meanwhile, you can deactivate the automatic switch mode in Loupedeck to stick on your MSFS profile.

Thank you for the update CaliBx

The first test release is available here : Plugin not working with Loupedeck 6.0 Ā· Issue #254 Ā· calibx/msfsdeck

Hi Sebastien,

Firstly, many thanks for the original profile. I used it extensively in 2020 and it was perfect for me.

Iā€™ve recently installed 2024, on a fresh windows 11 setup and so far, havenā€™t been able to get it working at all. I originally used the 5.9.1 loupedeck software but have now tried 6.0.1 too. As the fresh w11 setup was recent itā€™s not a drama for me to format reinstall from scratch.

I wondered if you could help me please with some instructions on any pre-requisites to get the plugin working in 2024? Is it for example necessary \ desirable to still have 2020 installed? Are there any other components which I need? FYI Iā€™m using a Loupedeck Live

Many thanks indeed for any advice you can offer.

Best regards
Richard

Hi,
Simplest way is to use 5.9.1 with the market plugin => but donā€™t forget to disable profile switching (as it is looking for MSFS 2020 and not 2024).
If you want to try 6.0.1 and MSFS 2024 => use the alpha of the plugin (still disable auto switching).
If you have time ā€¦ wait for the 4.0.0 oh the plugin but it will take more time.
