I didn’t know there was live helicopter traffic!
Thanks for pointing it out. I’ll keep an eye out for it now.

Live helicopter traffic basically does not yet exist - traffic helicopters are handled currently like aircraft which need a runway. As heliports does not feature runways the sim basically does not know what to do and so a helicopter is spawned and right after despawned again.

On clear days, helicopter tours take place all over the world.
I’ve even started doing something like helicopter hunting these days… A few days ago, I spotted this helicopter in the air and followed it for quite a while until it landed at a well-known heliport in New York city. At the same time, I was able to identify the helicopter on flightradar24 … So, there are definitely times when helicopter traffic is displayed for an extended period of time and even correctly lands on helipads. It was shown as 407 in the nameplate (which was wrong) but the shown model was correct

Unfortunately, the live traffic in the flight simulator is only very sparsely reproduced. I think you can see only a tenth of what actually happens in the real world… Helicopter traffic is treated even more poorly.

I’ve seen maybe 1 heli in all my time flying on 2024 worst part about it is there’s normally 1 to 2 up at anytime near me yet never seen them in game also the same with a bunch of the ga aircraft that fly around all the bigger stuff except military shows up too
