Low FPS - And FPS does NOT Scale with different settings

Hi - Having a weird issue in FS2020 that I’m not having in any other game. Regardless of what quality setting I use, or even the resolution I select, the FPS doesn’t change very much. Sitting on the ground its in the 20s. It didn’t used to do this. I have a high-end system:

Mobo: MSI Z390 MEG Godlike
CPU: Intel i9-9900K
RAM: 32GB G.Skillz Trident Z Royal DDR4 3600
GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 2080Ti Xtreme Waterforce 11G
Monitor: 5120x1440

Yeah I know, high-res monitor, but the problem persists even when I set the display resolution down to 1024x768. I used the default settings for each level (low, medium, high, and ultra). Here are some screen shots using MSI Afterburner. As you can see, plenty of RAM left, no CPU or GPU is task saturated, and heat isn’t a problem. Nothing in my Community folder, Developer mode off, all latest Nvidia drivers, BIOS, and latest FS patch installed.

FS Low-End
FS Medium
FS High
FS Ultra
FS 1024x768 Low

So as you can see, I’m getting the SAME FPS at 5120x1440 at Low-End as I am at 1024x768 (I mislabeled the bottom photo with 1168) Low-End, and the rest are really close. And it doesn’t appear my CPU is the bottleneck. This has to be software… Thoughts?

Same here, always limited by main thread. Spawning at EDDF on the A320 I have the same framerate (about 25-27 fps) at 2K / low or 4K / ultra. In 2021 we are still limited by single core performance.
This should improve with DX12 implementation.

Same here. I have a 4k monitor, RTX 3090 and no matter what in-game resolution I set I don’t get an FPS improvement. Same problem even if I set my monitor to 1920 x 1080 in Nvidia control panel. However, this is not the case in DCS.

This is what you call being CPU limited, and the majority of everybody is.

Except that many game developers simply slap a DX12 sticker over a mostly DX11 implementation, and that’s not going to cut it.

It’s probably too late but, did you get it fixed
