Hi,
After SU7 I have noticed a lower GPU usage than in SU6. The reduction is very high when airplane is taxiing on the airport. Here the GPU usage is only 40-50%. So, the FPS is about 22-25.
Flying the usage is around 80%
CPU usage is around 35%
Has anyone else experienced this behaviour?

Have you tried setting MSFS2020 to ‘prefer maximum performance’ in the Nvidia control panel?

I noticed a big difference as well. I have an I9-10850k / RTX3070 / 32gb.
Before SU7: The GPU was running about 85-89c (actual temp, not the ‘hot spot’) and pegging at almost 100%. I changed my GPU to ‘Normal’ performance in hopes of easing the temp a bit. I chatted with an Nvidia tech who told me they could get up to 93c before they encountered a problem, and then would either shut down or lower performance to drop the temp.
After SU7: My usage is now about 70-75% depending on what I’m doing, and the temp has dropped to around 65-70c, again depending on what’s happening. The massive draw on my GPU while at the menu screen has also either been resolved or it’s simply not happening at the moment (who knows which).
Don’t ask me why, but my graphics quality is still just as it was. And that sound you hear is me knocking wood.
I had this as well. Terrible FPS while the graphics card is well below 100% usage. I did a complete reinstall of the FS and that fixed it for me, but of course that is a very tedious process.
