Low GPU Utilisation

I don’t understand why the sim is underutilized my GPU. I pulled up some performance graphs, and the sim is only using 3Gb of the 8Gb of memory that is available on my GeForce 1070Ti video card. I used the latest reference drivers (which are SUPPOSED to be optimized for this sim) but all that did was dropped all of my settings to Low! (I do not recommend this to others).

Backtracked my drivers to 446.14, and much better frames etc, but the card is still being under-utilized. I have not overclocked my card. Does anybody know if Asobo are working on this?

Is this happening in airliners? What about outside view? Have you tried disabling the VFR map in the settings?

GPU under utilisation means the bottleneck is elsewhere, there is a thread on here about the possible casues already - the main one being the CoherentGTDraw issue mainly affecting airliners and/or VFR map.

i did some flights having the dev mode turned on to watch what’s going on with my RTX2070.
the bottleneck ist the GPU needing too much time calculating, my 8GB VRAM were constantly
going up and down between 2 and 7 GB usage and not at max all the time as i aspected …

Guys, the problem is the game is still poorly optimized. I’m having the same issue here, getting like 40fps with cpu AND gpu usage under 50%, when this happens it’s either: 1- game badly optimized or 2- Nvidia drivers badly optimized for the game. There is nothing we can do on our end, we just have to wait a patch to fix perfomance issues. Also, changing settings from Ultra to High I get like just 5-8 more fps, another sign of poorly optimization.

I’ve got poor GPU utilization and it fluctuates so frequently that FPS tanks dramatically and this happens somewhere in between the flight after spending approximately an hour. The flight that begins with 30-40+ fps often ends in 15-20 fps. Despite updates and patches, inconsistency keeps annoying me and all the immersion I get is shattering like a glass. I feel very close to go ahead and uninstall the sim due to lack of performance. :pleading_face:
