Hi there.
I have 24Gb RAM and 12 of them might be used by graphic cards. My GTX 1050 has 2Gb RAM and of cause it is always full. I notice that MSFS almost not uses 12Gb which is available for it. I know RAM is much more slower than graphic card’s memory (don’t remind it here). Question is who is determine how to use VRAM: software developer, graphic driver, OS or someone else? If it is possible I would be grateful for harder utilization of my VRAM.
See this extensive review:
TL;DR version, see pages 4 (VRAM and CPU Scaling) and 5 (System DRAM)
In short, MSFS really needs 8GB VRAM cards, loves VRAM.
16 GB DRAM is enough, you can see the gains to 32 and higher have a low bang for the buck.
I struggled with a 4GB RX570 on launch with this product. Moved up to an 8GB and things drastically improved. Likely the biggest improvement for you as well is to move up to an 8GB card.

For what its worth you can consider VRAM and system ram two completely different things. You cant compensate vram with system ram it would be way too slow.
