Can anybody explain to me why this airport doesn´t exist after SU2 till today. What happend to LOWZ ??? Are there any updates coming ???
What do you mean by “does not exist” ?
While i am deeply dissapointed that gaya completely abandoned it and neither provides updat3s nor any support, the 2020 scenery works in 2024 as well.
Well I copied the old 2020 version into the 2024 community folder. That works fine. Until SU2 started and the airport doesn´t get load in the simulator.
Also in the ORBX-Store. The Airport is not supported anymore in 2024.
Working here. I am right now at Gate F23…
I am using addon-Linker and added the 2020 community folder als source and simply activated the scenery.
I hope you get it to work for you as well.
But in general I hope that flyTampa will come with a version of LOWW like they did with FSX and P3D.
Gaya completely failed their customers since they started developing for MSFS directly.
If it wasn’t for great enhancements from the community, LOWW would be mostly unusable by now.
I’ve read somewhere that Gaya is developing a new LOWW for FS24
Heard that as well. BUT considering their poor support for the 2020 version i will still prefer any other developer.
They did quite well in the early days. There was a forum and customer support.
But since they came on board as developer for MSFS POIs, things went down and issues like wrong gates, too small stands, taxiways etc. Were never adressed, causing major issues with traffic and other addons.
It was one of the first addons for MSFS, got 1 or 2 early updates and was then abandoned while the sim kept developing and changed that required addons to update as well.
It was left to the community to find a way to solve this by themselves. For me unacceptable for payware developer.
Thanks for pointing that out. I now realize that this was a license-related issue with ORBX.
After uninstalling FS2020, the license for LOWW was also no longer valid and I only got the default airport in 2024.
After reinstalling the old sim, the addonlink is working again. ![]()
