Try the new turbulence settings in the Assistance/Piloting options.
Performance relative to quality probably hasn’t changed but parameters may have done so adjustment could be neccesary depending on your hardware/setup. Personally my MSFS has (almost) never been better however I understand that they occasionally may have to tweak things back for the stability of others.

Same for me, good update so far, smoother, less pressure on my CPU cores. I reset and redone my settings each time as I often see some problems without doing this…
It feels laggy especially panning around in pmdg 737 or fenix a320. Feels laggy in response . Getting some pause stutters too from panning around inside the VC
