I just picked this one up, and WOW! Just, WOWWW!!! FIVE STARS. I’ve been hot and heavy with the A2A Comanche for nearly my past 100 sim hours. I know I could ratchet up the failures for more spice in my life, but I had a craving to fly a turbine with even more modeled systems. This one is a real masterpiece, so glad I invested in the Black Square TBM-850.Since JF apparently doesn’t have a comment or review area, I will leave mine here with my fellow pilots.
This baby really checks all the boxes:
- Visually stunning interior and exterior models.
- All the systems are simulated.
- Flies beautifully.
- No negative impacts on system performance.
I can’t wait to begin my tutelage in this beauty. I love the fact that I could get off the ground, achieve level flight, do basic things like climb, descend, turn, all that stuff, and all of my landings were perfect (a couple of approaches were less so, however). Very intuitive on a basic level, and boy does she like to climb. Despite the ease of entry, I realize there is a major learning curve ahead.
Even though I have NO IDEA of which numbers are good, I somehow managed not to explode the engine! The manual is very complete, I have to dig in. Can anyone point me to performance numbers for the TBM-850? Like, what should I be aiming for in each phase of flight? Pilots, tell me your secrets!!
