[MAJOR UPDATE][V 1.2] Black Square TBM 850

After finishing my around the world flight. Just took a VR flight in and around the greater Phoenix Az area. Big difference between flying gps @FL29 and hand flying @ 3000ft. This plane handles exceptionally well. Very stable and responsive.

Yup. I did. Now it may well be me or the monitor, though everything else on screen looks great. Thing is, I do now have some “interesting” vision issues so cant be confident in myself what is happening, so if it is me, then I have to find a workaround. Thanks for your response, it is much appreciated.

That’s why I applied these aids in my repaint to make it a little easier to see the position of the switches in dim light.

310R WTT mod for the GTN750 conflicts with something. Just not sure what…

I’m gonna check the same in the TBM850.

The AP on the 310 and other aircraft seems to have worked itself out. No idea what I did.

I see that a few entries up from here, that SinewyDolphin74 says that a further update is due in the not too distant future. I wonder what that might include? Any clues at all?

I don’t know. Engine sounds???

I think the AC is very good especially if you like analogue like me. However, maybe the engine sounds could perhaps be given a bit more love?

Yes, that would be great. Expecially around the Beta end of things. I was thinking of what I might like on the avionics front but at something of a loss there as it already feels so good. I genuinely love operating this thing.

Will let you all know this coming week, when the update might land. Need to check in with the developer. The current list consists of mainly small bug fixes, some refining and a couple new features. I know the dev well, expect the list to grow this week and prior to the update releasing. I’ll try and give more details this week. Thanks.

Did you ever figure this out? I’ve re-installed all GPS addons, tried everything. I can’t get the NAV/HDG to work.

don’t use the gns 530 compatibility fix, with that installed my nav/hdg wasn’t working

If you have such an issue, check if you don’t have an old version of the WT GNS530 from the marketplace installed and update it if yes.

For people with physical detents (honeycomb bravo in my case)…is there a way to map beta range to the detent, with the default in game keybinds?

Yes, using that 0-100% binding, then configure the sensitivity and neutral position using in-game menu.

Jaydee has a brilliant mod on flightsim.to for unrestricted beta along with a Beta indication light in a spare slot on the caution panel which I use with the Bravo and it works really well. Cross checking the light/throttle operation with the in cockpit quadrant, it indeed does what it says on the tin and I hardly ever use brakes now. Thank you Jaydee, it is yet another winner.

What I would really like to see, I alluded to in an earlier post and that is some tactile feedback from the Bravo that you can physically feel at the start of that new Beta range. I am mulling it over in my mind as there is somewhere, a simple and elegant solution which would really improve things even further.

Okay, so the 0-100%. NOT the -100 - 100%. I think that’s how I have it now…though I can’t check right now.

Any rough ideas of where to start with the sensitivity / neutral positions? I seem to remember an extremity dead zone did the trick in the Kodiak, but I can’t exactly remember.

IIRC, you just need to leave the lever at detent and adjust neutral so that the white dot is on the x axis. You could increase the dead zone around neutral to avoid inadvertently going to reverse. Maybe adjust sensitivity/reactivity so you get the white dot moving the entire range vertically. It probably has nothing to do with extremes. This just comes down from memory and I couldn’t check if correct. Some trial and error will help.

HI, just the be clear - my mod only enables these features. They are build in by Black Square and can be enabled by anybody via small edits in some files. So full credit to black square. my mod just spares you from editing these files by yourself. Nothing more.

Kind regards
