I know - and very nice it is too! I’d love it if you could do more of the town.
I didn’t do it. I got it from here. NZ & AUS MFS2020 Discord - NZNR & Napier Scenery Pack 1.6
Ah yes, that’s the one I’ve got. The airport and base scenery is excellent, but apart from the sound shell on the marine parade, there’s not much of the wonderful art deco architecture that the town is famous for.
Here is the link. It shows the viewing platform on the Marine Parade. I thought that it is done really well and shows Whitmore Park which backs on to where I live plus the other parks. McLean Park, Nelson Park, school playgrounds, etc. NZ & AUS MFS2020 Discord - NZNR & Napier Scenery Pack 1.6 - Third Party Addon Discussion / Scenery Packs - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
Fellow Kiwi here. I agree, New Zealand should get a world update sometime. Unfortunately, the mesh is not fantastic (hills modelled into cities that are relatively flat IRL) alongside over areas with poor mesh and satellite imagery which in some areas is at least 5+ years old.
Get Orbx NZ mesh which vastly improves the terrain. Orbx releases NZ Mesh for MSFS, bringing improved terrain detail for New Zealand - MSFS Addons
Absolutely agree. The terrain requires better mesh and elevation data. And while you are at it, do include Madagascar and neighbouring islands (Seychelles, Mauritius, etc.).
Thank you.

We are not a big country but we are complex and a lot of fun to fly around. I would love to NZ in a world update.
Absolutely right. I started a tour of New Zealand (with ORBX Mesh) about 3 months ago - and I haven’t got beyond South Island yet. Every time I fly (low and slow - BLL XCub) I discover another little airstrip down some remote valley in the hills and just have to take a quick diversion to have a look. The last find was Pudding Hill. I am on my way back to Queenstown next with the plan of crossing to Dunedin and then taking a fast trip in the Bonanza to Wellington. See how far I get this time.
For me, in the UK, the beauty of NZ is the fact that you have all of the challenging landscapes and landings in a fairly compact area. I wish that I had ‘discovered’ New Zealand 50 years ago - if I had I’d be living there now.
An update of this area is way, way overdue.
ABSOLUTELY!
But please don’t do it less than half-heartedly like the Canada update.
Here is to the love of New Zealand, from Invercargill (very south) to Queenstown.
I’ll not tell you what you’ll be seeing en route, but look at the terrian and the landmarks and share what you recognize.
Have a nice trip:
New Zealand just announced as the next world update, due early February 2023!
I wasn’t quick enough to grab more screenshots but the Beehive and Milford Sound aerodrome were also shown.
Well, if that isn’t a great advert for the (now we know) forthcoming world update, I don’t know what is! Ten minute flight and all sorts of terrain below you.
I started my adventure Stewart Island to Invercargill but haven’t been that far South again since.
Further North
Wooooooo Hoooooo!!!
nice!
Now this is exciting
You are very kind with your words. I am humbled.
Thank you.
Here is another one you might like and enjoy, North Island this time, from the middle to the very south (of the North Island):
Congrats, Nyx!
Great news! This is one of the most beautiful countries for flying in, I dearly hope the Chathams are also included!
Here is Milford Sound Airport from the stream -
And one with Mt. Cook (I think) in the background
Edit - Actually it’s Mount Taranaki, thanks @TrevKiwi
And The Beehive (Parliament building)
The second photo looks like Mount Egmont now referred to as Mount Taranaki.
