Mandatory update tonight?

I just got a 4.04GB mandatory update out of nowhere when restarting my sim, what is this? It says 1.25.7.0 and its like its redownloading the last update again.

All night my sim has been weird, it keeps resetting my accessibility settings and now my controls dont work with only the PMDG 737 but work fine with every other aircraft. And now this update is happening, something is wrong with the servers?

I’m not sure what you downloaded (I haven’t been in the sim today), but it was not the hotfix. The timing of the hotfix has not been announced yet.

i got something similar to this after i installed Flybywire neo 320 version 8. No issues with controls of MSFS or acting weird.

Every time you start MSFS, it does a file integrity check and forces a download if it finds anything that it doesn’t consider right. I don’t know what might have gotten corrupted or why, but I hope that things might go back to normal after this gets installed.

So since loading back into the game its like I’m playing for the first time. All my views are deleted, all my settings reset to default. This is a mess.

It’s suddenly decided that it is going to force some/all the additional Asobo Liveries onto you.

Same thing happened to me a few days ago – at the time when the MSFS cloud servers were having License verification issues.

So it downloaded them, and I went back in and removed them … as I do not want them - even if they are FREE !! )

I also had to reset a number of my “options” and “Settings” , that also got lost in the mix up.

This evenings’ Win11 updates messed up my .net features, and screwed with apps and programs on my OS drive.

My flight sim is on a separate M.2 drive and was unaffected.

After downloading and re-installing my .net framework set from the Windows website, everything started working fine again.

Perhaps the “Patch Tuesday” Windows updates corrupted some of your behind-the-scenes OS tidbits, and if you have MSFS on the same drive as your OS, it may have been affected too?

So all my stuff is just working again, control profiles and views are working fine, and the PMDG 737 is working fine with my peripherals again. Not sure what just happened…

I restarted MSFS now on Xbox Series X but don’t see any update. I mean Xbox game as well as in-game update (marketplace update)

i did hear a recent win11 update broke a ton of stuff

That was a couple of updates ago that broke things, the last one fixed them again. But after I updated win11 here yesterday, I got a tiny little update in steam and nothing else.

But when the sim starts and then wants you to start entering settings, it means that it couldnt retrieve your cloud settings, its best to stop and try again later because this behavior has been attributed to the loss of log books…(personal experience)!

Xbox X user:
Full Powered off.
Restarted.
Update started automatically.
Ended with version 1.25.9.0
Automatic west europe servers 17ms

First try with MSFS failed at take off CTD
Second try with different departure and arrival airfields - started perfectly and weather effect brilliant.

Yep! I got caught too on PC something to do with C++ runtime package. Sorted that and it looks as though reloading OK now.

Moved to #self-service:install-performance-graphics

Read the release notes of the update and it says to remove items out of your community folder. Did that and it won’t load at all from the load screen. Unreal
