Cannot reproduce. 1.33.8.0 as of 0900H ET US 07252023 →
Now I am really intrigued. I found that the POI was flat in a totally Vanilla configuration, NO CF, and flying the Carenado Mooney in my official folder. Could this be an issue with DX12 (which I am using)? Or possibly some affect of an AMD video card? I was the POI as normal, just days ago, but you see, I did show a picture, that I am not imagining things. There is something else in play here, that I have been unable to figure out.
Not sure. I have the Mooney as well, although in the above case I loaded the TBM at the nearby airport for convenience and used the drone to investigate the POI. I reverted back to DX11 the other month as it was causing micro-stutters in some of my third-party Marketplace aircraft (like the Sting S4). I’m on an RTX 20 series card.
Scenery issues are usually related to something loaded that’s overlapping the sim’s configuration. Just as a double-check, does your Community Folder that was emptied match the path in UserCfg.Opt that the sim understands as your CF? A quick check wouldn’t hurt…
I honestly don’t know what else to try. My CF, when loaded , works perfectly, and it is completely empty. I even went into the Content Manager, dumped and reloaded the Oceania World Update. No joy. I temporarily went back to DX11, with a Rolling Cache deletion. Still no POI. And yet the MegaMall very close to the tower is perfect, as are the Twin Towers a few miles away. My default setting for graphics would be ULTRA with my AMD 6800XT video card. And I run slightly lower than that for GPU temperature control.
I’ve got the same issue. Empty community folder but a flat Telekom tower. It was part of the 40th Anniversary edition so is there a way to establish what is missing. I can only assume something went wrong with our install of that. I’m now going to have to check the other Helipads added in that update.
Found the ANSWER ! If you add BULLSEYE LANDING in the Content Manager, it WILL totally FLATTEN the Manera Telekom Tower. Remove it, and your tower enjoyment will return. A little Fo Paw for MS landing challenge!
