Since the update to 1.10.8 the manual vertical speed adjustment has been broken. If I manually start at T/D and push the altitute knob the aircraft starts its descent. To prevent high descent rates I push the vertical speed down knob to set my specific down rate. But I can only adjust downwards but am not able to correct it upwards later.
I think it is a small issue inside this fantastic development of the community.

do you use metric units? If this is the case, switch back to US units and the vertical speed adjustment should be work.

Just use Hybrid is fine. You just need altitude in feet and distance in NM as per international regulation. Everything else will be set to Metric like weight and volume, and all when you use Hybrid.
I’ve experienced similar problems with altitude settings when using metric units. So I switched back to US units a few days ago.
