Two more updates.
- In Turin, Italy, the map shows (Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II) as a POI but it doesn’t appear to be.
- Isola Bella (45°53’42"N 8°31’37"E) (see screenshot) doesn’t appear on the map but is a POI in game (definitely hand crafted)
Two more updates.
In Genoa, right next to the Biosfera (on map), there is another handcrafted POI called the Bigo (see pic) not on the map.
In Florence, the following in map POI doesn’t exist in the game.
Updated map to fix the following:
Added: Isola Bella (World Update 9)
Added: Bigo (World Update 9)
Added: Wasserturm Mannheim (World Update 6)
Added: Phare de La Caravelle (World Update 16)
Removed: Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II
Removed: Church of Saint Mary ‘della Pieta’
Removed: Drachenfels Castle
Removed: La Vieille Lighthouse
Team effort!
In the sim there is a POI in Sardinia at 40°29’11"N 8°46’11"E for Nuraghe Santu Antine that isn’t on the map. I flew by quickly and it looked hand crafted by I can’t be 100% sure. Some of the AI stuff is pretty good.
St Paul’s Cathedral in Malta is in sim but not on the map.
Probably labeled this one by mistake (not custom POI in sim)
A few extra notes.
In Syracuse, Sicily, the Bastioni Di Siracusa is misplaced. It is actually at the location circled in red.
Just a bit north of that Isola Bella is on the map but not a POI in game (probably mistaken for the other Isola Bella I mentioned in a recent post).
Off the southwest coast of Naples, the Castello Aragonese d’Ischia is on the map but a POI in game.
Also in Naples, the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona is labeled Stadio San Paolo on the map.
EDIT:
There is a POI just south of Rome that is slightly misplaced.
EDIT2:
There is a POI missing in Rome
EDIT3:
About 80nm north of Venice near Bruneck is a custom POI in FS, but not on the map, the Castel San Michele. It is SW of Brunico Castle (spelled Bruneck Castle on the map). It was mistakenly placed on the map in Ossana about 26nm W of Bolzano airport. Also the nearby Diga di Santa Giustina was mislabeled the Lago di Santa Giustina. Additionally, Passo Dello Stelvio appears in the release notes for WU IX but doesn’t actually appear in the sim.
