Not that I’m aware of, though I haven’t gone on a hunt.
They added mappable commands for showing the taxi ribbon and multiplayer nameplates about a year ago. I assumed it was a matter of time before the other mappable items came along. Seems it might be a case of waiting for MSFS 2024 - and then putting it on a new wishlist
One of many things that looks like a “quick win”, but may be more complex than we imagine.
Just joining in on this topic, I wanted to make sure: is there seriously no easy way to get these giant pushpins out of the center of my vision in VR? Other than going into the menus…
In fact, if the markers were less brain-dead I wouldn’t necessarily want to turn them off in the first place* For example imagine if they were something like semitransparent callouts at the top, with lines pointing in the appropriate direction. Instead of giant blue circles directly in the center of my FOV (that follow me around as I turn my head).
Looks like the main one I was having was the “display direction” in the assistant menu. Nevertheless I still sometimes get other ones I can’t figure out.
Again, though – maybe it wouldn’t be so desperately necessary to turn it off if it weren’t so mind-boggling obtrusive. Just like the awful tooltips that cover up most of the cockpit interaction.
Surely there’s a better way than a giant immobile blind spot…
Please add “User POI” as well.
I guess those will be used much more when the mission comes.
Edit: well actually also add “Helipads” and “Hospitals” to the list of choices, and rotary wing pilots got a lot more “specialized” POIs all the sudden
This deserves a lot more votes! I just needed this ability again a few minutes ago. We got a toggle for the nameplates. Please give us toggles for the POI markers as well. Pretty please …
