First, they don’t have to localize it initially. Only about a third of their other docs are localized.
Second, this is a major gap. Many 3rd party devs that sell through the marketplace are waiting on this.
Third, they don’t have to release it all at once. They can slap doc comments on public or exported functions, build those, and release those. If they are a half decent dev team, the doc comments already exist. It’d be enough for 3rd oarty devs to get started.
Updating 3rd party planes and plugins to AAU1 avionics is going to take months. Let those devs get started… yes, to produce thorough high quality documentation takes months. To produce basic documentation up to their typical standard takes hours to days.
Get it done.
P.S. i do have a clue how much work I’m asking for. I am a professional developer who oversees among other things, a documentation team. I literally know what I’m asking for.
