Market place airports - no ils/approach

Hi All,

I was wondering if any of you encountered problems with dowloaded airports from the official FS Marketplace?

I receltly purchased Rome Ciampino (LIRA), I use this airport frquently, but after the download and installation of this new scenary approach is not working anymore…no ILS or approach, no Glidescope showing.

Is this issue common with new scenaries and new airports?
Is there any solution?

Thanks

Sometimes the developers think that what an airport needs is just nice buildings, and nice painted lines. It is not an MSFS problem, you should contact the developers, the issue is on their end.

Yes, I was thinking the same…very nice airport but not that usefull if I can’t land on it!
What do I need to do to remove it now?.. not sure what is the folder path where airports addons are installed.

If it is from the marketplace search the “onestore” folder.

Deleted…and I’m back to the old original airport… ILS and approach are back working.
I WANT MY MONEY BACK NOW!!! :smiley:

You could of course open content.xml and place the airport above the fs-base-nav, so that the navdata load after the airports. It could solve it. I have never tried it.

So basically it’s like overlayng the scenary on top of the default airport data?
Quite an amateur in these kind of settings…could you guide me to where the conten.xml
and the fs-base-nav are?

Thanks

content.xml is here: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

open with notepad. You will see somewhere your airport like this:

<Package name="your airport" active="true"/>

cut and paste the above line somewhere above the following line:

<Package name="fs-base-nav" active="true"/>

Save again as content.xml. I don’t know if it will work, you could try though. In any case backup your original file. If you screw something up just delete content.xml,
and restart the sim. It will be regenerated automatically.

Is it the one by Deimos? Because if it is, their products are extremely low-quality. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re missing functionality on top of eyecandy.

They’re on my “avoid at all costs” list.
