Check that Online Data is ON. If the sim detects a slow network connection, it will shut it off without prior consent or notification.

I had that problem the other day. The sim went into offline mode and the Marketplace was inaccessible. (Only time that’s ever happened.)

I restarted the sim and everything was fine again. I have a 1Gb fiber internet connection and a good WiFi 6 router. Service outages are pretty much nonexistent. I think maybe the server connection was interrupted somewhere in the vastness of the internet. No way to know.

I’d definitely look at your ISP and your router setup if that’s a persistent problem for you.

Go to Options -> General -> Data and turn off Online Functionality , then save, then back on, then save. This should restore all funcitonality. If not, then restart the sim

If the Marketplace tab appears greyed out like in your image, it is likely that your Online Functionality setting is currently disabled. This can sometimes happen if the sim loses connection to the servers. You can re-enable this setting (which should restore the Marketplace for you) by following the instructions mentioned by several forum posters above:

Browse to this setting and make sure it is set to ON: Options -> General Options -> Data -> Online Functionality
