Market Place Scenery poor install

Hi All,

I have purchased and installed Denver from the market place, I cannot use the scenery, there are trees and bushes every where in the parking bays Taxiways, who do I send a help request to ?

you do need to disable the default KDEN in the content manager Look for KDEN and delete it, the option to install it again is still there. I got mind from FlightBeam directly because I owned the P3D version (they give a discount) But mind worked fine.

Is this standard procedure if a person buys an airport from the Marketplace? I was under the impression if you choose Buy and Download it did everything for you.

I asked Flightbeam about this and they just have it in the notes that it needs to be disabled. I did not have to do that with FSDreams and LVRF

It has no way of knowing if you have that scenery already. You could have 5 Denvers for all it cares - but you can only run 1 at a time. So unless content is meant to compliment some other content, there should really only be 1 instance of it. I bought KORD and had to disable KORD that comes with Premium Edition… If I want the Asobo version back, I have to delete this one and redownload the Asobo one. You pick and choose what you are running but shouldn’t run conflicting things. That’s how it works.

Well thanks for the info! When I do pull the trigger on getting upgraded airports I’ll be at least more heads up about this. Hopefully in the Marketplace installs concerning this are addressed automatically (I would hope so) or at least notifies the person downloading that disabling needs to be done.

Now I’m going to have to go back and look at the free downloaded airport (the one in Germany, EDLP) and see what is what.

Thanks for the info!

The only airport I’ve ever downloaded was the freeware EDLP one in the Marketplace so I’m going to have to check that out today and see if it even installed as from your quote here it’s saying that it shouldn’t be showing up with the new graphics as I didn’t disable the original EDLP in the…Content Manager…correct?

I’m gonna have to find a tutorial on this.

UPDATE: Apparently from what I saw in a video posted about add-ons with the new FS if bought and downloaded from the Marketplace everything is handled automatically(?).

No. Again… EDLP is a custom premium airport. The default one is built in as a generic airport into the base of MSFS. Those don’t need to be deactivated. But any custom airports (any airports showing up in Content Manager) need to be disabled. The software doesn’t automatically do that for you - not SHOULD it because you WANT to control which content you see. This isn’t a difficult system to understand.

Base game has default generic airports. Those are edited by custom add-ons. But only one addon per airport can be active. Otherwise they overlap. In the case of KORD - those with Standard Edition don’t have Asobo’s premium KORD. If they buy FSDreamteam’s KORD, they don’t need to disable anything. Those who DID buy the premium edition have additional content in Content Manager. They need to disable one custom KORD before having another. They can go back and forth between two KORDs if they want, but they can’t have both active at the same time.
