I suggest you to do a rapid re-shuffle in your marketplace… There are more and more airports and sceneries every day, and each virtual pilot has his/her own interests in certain locations, so, please sort all sceneries by location (e.g. North America, Central America, South America, North Africa, Central Africa, South Africa, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, etc.), country, city and by developer. It’ll make much, much more friendly and easier to go shopping.
This (simple) feature is becoming critical, especially for airports which are now very many.
By “big region” (North/Center/South America, Eastern/Western Europe…), or better by country (USA, Australia, Germany…).
It might be interesting to have a world map where all the available sceneries are displayed on their in-simulator location with a dot. Clicking the dot would bring you to the store page of the scenery. Orbx Central and the Contrail shop application have this feature, labelled as ‘Discover’. Which looks like this:
This would of course be more work to implement compared to a simple regional filter, but it would allow users to more easily find the sceneries in the locations where they want them!
Would love to see this. Better yet, would be nice to be able to look at a map of any given area and see icons that indicate locations of airports that are available (or owned) in the marketplace. This way you can look at an entire region and plan a series of flights based on locations of different airports you have purchased or plan on purchasing.
haha! I post this comment and immediately see supermuskox suggested the same thing! lol. I can’t imagine them not doing something along these lines eventually. Seems it would really help sell more scenery. I’m assuming they take a percentage of anything that is listed in the marketplace, regardless of which 3rd party made it.
I’m really surprised this doesn’t already exist. Please vote! Regardless of your personal opinion on micro-transactions. It seems like a no-brainer as it would not only be good for the users but also help sell marketplace scenery, a plus for Microsoft/Asobo as I’m guessing they get a percentage of 3rd party marketplace sales.
If you’re planning a flight, especially one hopping around to several different locations on a GA Sight seeing tour it would help to locate any airports along the way that are available in marketplace. Would also be nice to have markers/links on the map in main menu that can identify if a given airport has 3rd party scenery available in marketplace. Right now the marketplace is a vast ocean of airports with very little sorting options. If you want to know if a particular airport has 3rd party content, sure, you can just type it in. But what if you’re not looking for a specific airport? It would be soooo much better if you could sort by city, state, region, country, etc.
I think allot of people “tolerate it” because most do not use the marketplace to purchase content but rather from sim market, orbx, content creators direct etc. As you get quicker access to updates etc… (PC users of course).
But yes, seems like a no brainer that it should be better organized.

I agree.
Hi all,
I would Asobo suggest also to add under “Search” a category “continent” for sceneries with “North America”, “South America”, “Europe”, “Asia”, “Africa”, “Australia and Pacific”. Reason: Meanwhile there are so much scenery items on marketplace that it takes too long time just to scroll through all sceneries to look for new stuff. This would be helpfull if one is not only interested in one country.
Now we have the world map for airports in marketplace with SU8 beta it would be great to have the same for scenery.
With my comment I thought about the filter to work for airports as well as for scenery.
